Everything above is what the tool does well. Here is what you need to know before you decide — the things most sales pages leave out until after the payment.
Your model choice decides your book length.
This is the single biggest factor, bigger than any setting in the extension. Asking for the same book length in my own testing:

Run this on the cheapest model available and expect a full-length book, and you will be disappointed. That is not the extension's fault, and it is why I am telling you now instead of after you pay.
Your API costs are separate, and they are yours.
A 35,000-word book costs a few dollars in tokens on a mid-range model, and considerably less on a budget one. That money goes to your AI provider, not to me. You control it, you can see it, and you can cap it.
Installation is manual, and so are updates.
This is not distributed through the Chrome Web Store. You unzip a folder, switch on Chrome's Developer Mode, and load it. It takes about two minutes and the instructions are a single page. Chrome will show a permissions notice — normal, and explained in the file. When a new version ships, you reload it yourself. If none of that is for you, the web edition in the pack skips all of it — that is exactly why it is included.

The extension downloads the second you pay. The web edition and Book Idea Studio need an account, and I create it myself for the email address you buy with — usually within the hour, always within 24. You receive an email from New Book Writer with your username and a link to choose your password. One buyer, one account.

It types into a chat site where you are signed in. The consumer terms of Anthropic, OpenAI and Google do not allow automated access outside of an API key, and accounts have been suspended over exactly this. That risk sits on your account, and the choice is yours alone. API key mode has no such exposure — and it is faster anyway.

What exactly is in the pack?
Three things, for one payment: the Chrome extension (version 5.18.0, with the previous 5.10.5 also included for anyone who prefers it), access to the web edition of New Book Writer, and access to Book Idea Studio. The extension downloads at once; the two web accesses arrive by email within 24 hours.
How does the web access arrive?
I create your account by hand for the email address you buy with. You receive an email from New Book Writer — check Spam and Promotions if you don’t see it — with your username and a link to choose your password. That one account opens both New Book Writer and Book Idea Studio.
Does Book Idea Studio need an API key?
No. By default it writes the prompt, you paste it into the AI chat you already use — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and others — and paste the answer back. If you have a key, an API mode is there too. Nothing is sent anywhere except to the provider you chose.
Does it really write in Arabic?
Yes — and exports it. The manuscript, the book furniture and both listings are written in Arabic; the DOCX carries real right-to-left paragraphs, the EPUB the right-to-left spine and page turn, and the print interior is paginated at your trim size with page numbers in Western or Hindi digits. The Amiri typeface is embedded. Book Idea Studio has its own Arabic room as well.
Why two versions of the extension?
5.18.0 is the complete edition — install that one. 5.10.5 is the previous edition, kept in the pack for anyone who prefers it: the same core, without Arabic, CSV niche analysis and idea sheets.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay once and use it for as many books as you want. The only recurring cost is your own AI usage, paid directly to your provider.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You unzip a folder and load it in Chrome, following a one-page guide. If you can install a browser extension from a folder, you can run this. And if you would rather not, the web edition asks for nothing but a username and a password.
Why isn't it in the Chrome Web Store?
It is distributed directly. That means manual installation and manual updates, which is stated plainly above so nobody is surprised after paying.
Which model should I use?
A top-tier model if book length matters to you — the difference is roughly 39% versus 92% of your requested length. If you are testing the workflow, a budget model is fine and costs very little.
Where does my API key go?
It is stored locally on your machine and sent only to your provider's own endpoint. It is never synced and never sent to me. There is no server on my side to send it to.
Can I sell the books it writes?
Yes — they are yours. If you started from a PLR file, confirm your licence allows resale under your own name. Answer the AI-content question honestly when you upload to KDP; it is mandatory and does not affect visibility.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes. Chrome 116 or newer on Windows or macOS.
How long does one book take?
That depends on your model and your chapter count, not on the extension. You can pause at any point and resume later — the project survives a restart.
What if I get stuck installing it?
Email me before doing anything else. If it will not install on a supported system and I cannot get it working with you, I refund you in full.
